A And O Aachen Hauptbahnhof

Well done, A&O Aachen. Central location-yes, it is near the train station and tracks, so yes, it is noisy at times. There are free ear plugs on the counter at reception! Reception staff are so helpful and go out of their way to help. Rooms were basic (it’s a hostel) but clean. There was an electric fan in the room that really helped keep it cooler. Breakfast was good. All in all a good and economical place to stay. Thank you.

The bad reviews on this app are really not justified. I came here with a scared heart and very low expectations. Immediately upon entering, my stress level was a lot lower. The entrance hall was clean and there was even a bar. Checking in was (quite) easy via the app and before we knew it we got our key card.We went up in some outdated elevators (very scary at the beginning), which work fine. Then we went to the room. This was not very large, but had a private bathroom with a clean and quite good shower (with shampoo and soap). We shared this room with 2 other people. A hairpin fell out of the mattress above me, but that's the least of it. There was also a fan, which I certainly liked. After a room and bedbug inspection we went to the guest kitchen where we could heat and cool our food. The breakfast the next morning was also fine, several options toppings, including gluten-free, multiple drink choices, eggs, ... The check-out also went extremely smoothly, which made our day start smoothly. All in all, I really can't complain for this price and I'm very satisfied.

My experience was top notch, some adjustments possible to hygiene and unfortunately found an underpants from the previous one... Breakfast was fine, no smell in the hallways and finally no mold as described in previous reviews. Been with a frightened heart but was actually great for this price!
