V-Hotel

Very comfortable bed. Lovely staff and amazing breakfast. It’s a shame our room was so close to the road as the woodland experience was rather lost in the noise of passing cars.

Very friendly and responsive staff, quiet place and in nature. Creative and colorful design. Excellent breakfast. Very good value for money

I booked this hotel because on the website and booking.com a dog-friendly equipment with bowl and dog blanket in the room and a terrace with meadow views were advertised. This information was decisive for my decision – and was not fulfilled on site. • Dog friendliness: My dog was unmissable, yet nothing was prepared in the room. At the reception it was later said that I should have actively approached the staff member in the evening so that I would be given a bowl etc. But I had already mentioned this on the phone before I arrived. In all other hotels of my trip, the equipment was of course directly available in the room. • Misleading representation: The view did not correspond to the photos on the website – there was no green meadow in front of the terrace, as the pictures suggest. Particularly irritating: The employee even told me I should have explicitly asked if this meadow still existed. My clear answer: No – it is the duty of the hotel to adjust the offers. After all, you don't buy a car and ask as a precaution if the wheels are still on the delivery. Guests can trust that published photos and descriptions reflect reality. • Handling complaints: The employee also said that I should have approached him personally about my complaint. However, it is my right to file a complaint in writing – as I have expressly announced. My request for a fair solution – the refund of the room rate – was denied. Instead, I was only offered breakfast for a future stay. This is particularly disappointing as I deliberately changed my itinerary from Tyrol to Hamburg and took a considerable detour, solely because the hotel advertised a green meadow right in front of the terrace and dog-friendly equipment. It was precisely these qualities that were decisive – and these were not fulfilled. Conclusion: Reality differed significantly from the advertised information. Both equipment and communication clearly disappointed my expectations. For guests with dogs I can not recommend this hotel. And even for guests who book and decide on the basis of the published pictures, this hotel is simply recommendable zero.
