Ibis Bochum Zentrum

First of all. The location, with direct access to the station, is perfect. A parking lot is also located directly at the house. However, the rooms are really very small, the bathroom so small that you actually have to ask guests for their height when booking. Otherwise, the room was clean but clearly old. The reception was very friendly, breakfast I had not booked. My room went to the back and therefore relatively quiet.

The hotel's location is ideal as it is in the city center and right near the train station. The check-in/out process is flawless. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel room, while clean, is on the small side. The shower and the toilets are also a tight squeeze. But, for the price, it is totally acceptable. The breakfast buffet has ample and good choices for a business hotel at this price point. Overall, I would stay again in this hotel on my next visit. Travelled on business for 7D/6N

I only stayed in this hotel for one night. There are many negative reviews about the hotel in German. I can't agree with them. For 2* everything is fine. The hotel is a two-minute walk to the station and 5 minutes from the center. Nearby metro and buses. I immediately asked for a quiet room, and they provided one on the top floor. The area is small, which is typical for Ibis. The bed is comfortable, there are enough sockets and lighting, and there is a table. There are two disadvantages: the small size of the bathroom with an inconvenient washbasin and curtains that let in sunlight; it was not possible to close them completely. Very good breakfast with a variety of sausages, cheese, fruits, sweets. Good juice, tea and coffee. At the 3* level, or even better. Free water at the reception. There is a snack bar, drinks, as well as microwaves for heating food if anyone needs it. There are two terraces: one at the entrance to the hotel, the second, more cozy, behind the breakfast room. The hotel is not new, but is well maintained. The price of the room, taking into account the general increase in prices, is quite acceptable. Perfect for a short stay.
