Good location …but the clerk at the front desk remarked to us that we arrived at 830 instead of 8:00 while we had an email notification that the flight was late arriving …during the conversation he was making fun of me …and when it came time to check out not even a good morning I didn't even say thank you...

Reception could’ve been better but nothing bad to say about it. Room was nice! Bathroom a bit small and needed some renovation but everything was working very well. Bed quite comfortable :) Also located right next to the center so it’s easy.

We arrived there early afternoon, but nobody was there. I had to call a posted number through my American cell phone (thus an international call) to get the hotel manager to check us in. Other than this I must say that the hotel is in excellent shape: very clean, and recently updated. Rooms are small, but comfortable. We had no issues with noise. The nights were very quiet despite the location in the center of the city. Just don't expect any service. It seems the hotel is run by one single hotel manager, and he tries to be everywhere and do everything. We asked for a second key so that my partner could go out independently. We were told there is no second key for guests available because they get lost etc. - I'm not interested in this, I just needed a second key. Also: the bar at the entrance is a bit obscure. It was never open, which is probably a good thing as it was very quiet. No breakfast offered (which is not a proble as there are bakeries with very good coffee and pastries right around the corner). If you need a comfortable place for a couple of days for sightseeing in downtown Cologne, this hotel is ideal. Just don't expect any hotel service of any kind.
