Hotel Lowenbrau

We just had some drinks on a busy Saturday evening. The bill was 25 Euro too high but I spotted it. It was corrected without explanation.. .

It has a great location; while my spouse and I were examining the menu at the entrance, a waiter approached—a dark-complexioned man who was practically bald and whom I took to be of Indian or Pakistani origin. After I said we were examining it, he began to act rudely in a way I couldn't understand. Seeing that the price was reasonable, we sat down and ordered a drink each. We had a drink and left.

A pub I always look forward to visiting on any holiday I take to this fascinating city on the River Rhine is Löwenbräu, been here before on many occasions over the years, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit to here. A great looking pub,interior is superb, dark wood features abound throughout this pub, great decor and furnishings, all manner of photos and prints adorning the walls and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub and on our visit this pub was beautifully decked out for the festive period. We were greeted and seated by a very pleasant member of the bar team ( they are called köbes out here in Cologne ) we were here only for beers and two delicious kölsch beers were deposited on our table, we chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub while we sipped our kölsch beers. A big fan of the many kölsch beers available throughout Cologne ,its such an easy drinking lager style beer, when kölsch beers are served freezing cold as in Löwenbräu its just a totally delicious beer indeed, its hardly surprising that this pub is so popular with kölsch beers served in this good a condition by staff who are genuinely pleased to see you in their pub. We really enjoyed our kölsch beers in here, couldn't fault anything about our visit here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to Löwenbräu we had a great time Löwenbräu is easy to locate along Frankenwerft, an area teeming with pubs, bars, cafe's and restaurants and some amazing architecture and a major tourist destination. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from 7am. Well worth checking out if you're in the Old Town of Cologne.
