To all those who gave the hotel a negative review: If you're counting on Hayat, Steigenberger or Hilton Standard, you'll have to pay a deeper price. Lage/Preis/Leistung TOP. Super Nette Reception. I genuinely try to be fair and honest with my reviews. This hotel has me spilt for a number of reasons. We recently stayed here for 3 nights. We arrived as a group prior to check in time. The hotel desk staff was very nice and allowed us all to check in and two of our party got their room straight away as it was ready. Which was very accommodating of the hotel. The room was located on 3rd floor. You can access it by going down some steps and then the lift. In terms of decor it was the older style rooms. Two wooden framed single beds side by side. The decor is dated but clean. No issues. Later on when we got our room. There was an issue with bedding and room cleanliness. We raised this straight away but unfortunately their cleaning staff were finished for day and not available until the next day. The hotel receptionist was very friendly (they all were each day) and offered to change our room and allowed us to look at the other room before deciding however the other room was smaller (the same style as our other party's room), with two separate single beds and a cot, the other room we were in was a more modern family room and bigger. So we kept our room until issue could be rectified the next day. In the meantime the receptionist gave us extra sheets and my husband was able to make up the pull out sofa to be slept on. Issues was sorted out next day. The family room is a decent size, two single beds adjoined together as a double as most hotels today have, wooden floors, single sofa pull out, cot, desk and chair and shower room, the shower itself wasn't great, I think the head needs replacing, but it got the job done. I have to say the beds are very comfortable. We all slept well. Breakfast was standard, basic european style breakfast. In terms of a 4 star. The lobby is nice and looks modern. I would definitely say it is not a 4 star. Maybe years ago but not today. Pushing at 3. The main middle entrance door to the front of the hotel as per the pictures on the website is no longer there and is blocked up. Lots of people daily sitting outside on the step in front of it smoking. For us the biggest issue was accessibility. My daughter has a disability and uses a mobility walker and we have a buggy for her. Unfortunately, in order to get to any of the rooms offered you have to go down or up steps to even get to the lift. We had to carry the buggy the walker and my daughter numbers times a day up and down stairs to get to the lift to room. We didn't mention her disability on booking as we usually manage fine with lifts and had mentioned the age of our child at booking through the agency site so based on her age it would be standard she still be using a buggy. Location wise, it is minutes from the Central Station. There is bus stops and trams on the same street as the hotel. So you can access transport easily. Central station area itself is very run down. Actually quite shocked at how bad it was. Urine and other bodily functions along a lot of the area at the station. The smell in that area was horrendous. Even at the central bus depot. A lot of unsavourys around. Around on the hotels side entrance to the other street up from butlers bar the outside alcoves used as a urine station and street is filthy. All and all if you want a place to rest the head for a few days with comfy beds and no frills then I'd recommend. Could not be closer to the train station. Family wise for children and accessibility including area I would recommend booking another a bit further out.

Checked in for one night on the way to Munich for the Euro football. Check in was the evening of the 12th June. Big spacious comfortable room with the hotel being only a few minutes walk from the central train station. Check in was very poor with the receptionist clearly having a bad day and deciding to complain to guests that “she can’t be expected to do everything”. Breakfast next month wasn’t great either. Very little selection, toaster wasn’t working and no cold milk. All fixable issues that would make this a great hotel. Perhaps I was just unlucky.
