Romantik Hotel Neumuhle

Staff: Warm, attentive, and completely unpretentious. Every request, however small, was met with genuine enthusiasm. You can tell they’re happy to work there, and it’s infectious. Food: A real highlight. Fine dining dinners were exceptional, but the kitchen didn’t coast on breakfast and lunch either — every meal, every day, was thoughtfully done. Rooms: Beautiful, spacious, spotless. Designed with real warmth rather than cold minimalism — it felt like a home, just a far more stylish one than ours. Setting & spa: Idyllic — mature trees, a gently flowing river, buildings that sit into the landscape rather than dominate it. Calming before you’ve even set foot in the spa, which itself is wonderful, with excellent treatments. Dog-friendly: Our dog George was welcomed as warmly as we were and had a permanent grin all week. Says it all. We left completely restored. We’ve stayed at a lot of places over the years and honestly can’t think of anywhere that got every single detail this right. Not just a great resort — a genuinely special one. We’ll be back!

Great place on the Franconian Saale. Very nice rooms, wonderful staff who are there for their guests with enthusiasm. Delicious food, good beds, a beautiful area for hiking and cycling.

What really sets this establishment apart from other hotels at the same ***** level is the way every single guest is treated here: It starts with the small, personalized welcome gift in the room, continues with the "Neumühler Tagespost" (a 4-page folder in DIN A5 format, which is also printed daily and tailored to the individual guest - and not just the same for everyone in the hotel), and concludes with the fact that the staff (at least those I encountered) are informed so quickly and always know who the respective guest is. And the latter is by no means a matter of course!
