Hotel Alt Montjoie

Very nice small hotel (only 10 rooms), in the center of the old town. Lovely bed, good pillows, just because it is a bit old, it is noisy. So bring earplugs, otherwise you'll hear a lot. Breakfast is very neat and friendly, nothing to criticize!

Hotel is located in the middle of the village, which is nice. The disadvantage is that you can't park your car at the hotel and have to put it in a public and paid car park 5-10 minutes walk away. That's not nice when your car's packed. Meet vacation stuff. And not nice to have to walk such a long way over the cobblestones with your luggage that you need in the hotel. I got a room in the attic, and also had to go up 4 flights of stairs with my luggage. There was no help from the hotel. I had chosen the hotel because it had a restaurant and bar/terrace. Delicious outdoor dining and then rolling into bed was my idea. Only the restaurant and the terrace closed at 6pm. Incidentally, everywhere else in the village everything was already closed at 8pm. (Unfortunately, the hotel owner had not indicated this in advance.) The room is okay but very basic for a price of over 100.00. In the bathroom there is only a simple sink; not even a shelf to put your bath bag oid. Wifi hardly worked. There was only a white transparent blind in the window, so morning very bright in the room. I had booked through Booking, but had to pay 5.00 more at checkout than the price I had booked with Booking. Not a large amount, but strange that there is a difference in the price. When inquiring afterwards why this is, neither Booking nor the hotel responded.

Very good hotel. Friendly people, very helpful. Nicely located in the historic area.Also near the castle and parking burgau.Heerlijk Breakfast.We really enjoyed and will definitely come back, but when the weather is warmer..
