Best Western Premier Krautkramer

Friendly welcome but on arrival already very clearly not as shown in the photos.. is really very outdated and not maintained. That also appeared directly on the 200€ per night) room with more views. Peeled paint on balcony, very warm room without good ventilation, small bathroom with a shower tap that is either very hot or very cold, toilet sags when you sit down. Breakfast very standard, we were there at 9am and many things empty, not properly restocked. We were warned of some nuisance of construction work but would be from 9am, however at 7.30 already sound of this in anyway a very noisy room. In short, certainly not in accordance with expectations as on the site. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Stayed for two nights at this charming hotel. My experience was very pleasant and exceeded my expectations. Yes, the hotel was built in the seventies but it it has some clear advantages. The location is superb, near a lake, with clean air and surrounded by total silence. It was a rare ocasion to escape the surrounding noise of urban centers and have excellent, undisturbed sleep. I stayed in a large room (non-renovated yet) but it was perfect, really spacious and so comfortable. Only the bathroom was quite small (legacy of the original floor plan) but that was okay for me. The indoor swimming pool is wonderful, big one, nicely decorated and with access to a large outdoor terrace, with lake-view. What surprised me was the variety and the quality of the breakfast ; I spent two hours every morning in the breakfast room, eating slowly and sipping on German-style brewed filter-coffee. So, I was very happy with my stay and hope to be back some day.

Order a Baileys sundae on the terrace. It's coming: 3 scoops of ice cream with cream for €9. Baileys is never there on request. As a renowned hotel, I would be ashamed to save on a pinch of liqueur. Embarrassed.
