Factory Hotel

This would have been a 4 star review in my opinion, but my wife pointed out a few missing factors that brought it down to about a 3.5. Lets start with the good - the charm factor! This hotel is a former brewery and they have maintained a lot of the external structure. The result is a very cool, unique industrial looking hotel. There is parking underground which costs 15.5 euros per night with in and out privileges. There are two EV spots BUT the garage has absolutely zero cellphone coverage, so I must have wasted 30 minutes trying to get the car to charge with PlugSurfing, in the end I managed to link an RFID card to my account. You also need to move your car within 4 hours otherwise a steep per minute charge is applied. The staff at the front desk have no idea about how the EV stations work and could not help me at all here. Checkin was fine, despite asking for a high floor I was put on the first floor initially, but when I asked on checkin she was able to find me a room on the 3,5 floor. The rooms were clean, but so spartan! It even gives Scandic a run for their money in terms of not having amenities! No tea or coffee, no kettle, no fridge, only one 3-in-1 soap dispenser in the shower, shampoo, conditioner in the bathroom .. In terms of good points: a nice balcony, a good writing desk, comfortable bed and good sized modern TV. Shower pressure was good, and the bathroom was clean and functional. The breakfast is priced at 22 euros per person - and from the few photos one could see of the breakfast offering, it didn't feel worth it so we skipped it. The lady on checkout was good enough to give us a 30 minute later checkout, but one is spoiled with the 4pm late checkout Marriott normally give me... The room has air conditioning, but one almost needs a PhD to work out how to start it .. maybe exaggerated a little, but I did need to call the front desk! There are a lot of restaurants, a supermarket and a few cafes around the area even though the location is a bit "off" from the city center. Had the room had a bit more creature comforts (fine if you don't provide coffee in the room - but at least then have some free coffee in the reception! As a Swede this was sorely missed) then it would have been a solid four.

Total failure Wi-Fi! After a long business day, finally showered at 9:15 p.m. and rested in the room in my sleep dress, I find that I cannot process my business emails as planned due to lack of internet connection. According to the reception, the problem has existed for several days - in a hotel where, due to the massive construction, there is already only a limited mobile connection, a real imposition. The problem-solving password to the Internet should be picked up at the reception at this time. Thank you for this service I forgo!

The hotel is located in an old beer brewery and the adjacent building. We had a room in the new building. Great room, good beds, neat bathroom. Brushing could have been a little better. Dust in the corners and on the skirting boards. Bathroom was nice. (Just wonder why the toilet roll holder hangs so low). TV and wifi work well. And the balcony.... well.... we were there in October, then I'm not on the balcony. But when you see the disconsolate view (a courtyard where all balconies face each other and below you a flat roof with some sedum plants), you don't want to sit there either. And if you'd like to sit, you have to sit on the floor. There's no chair or anything. From me they don't have to invest in that since the view. But it's nice that you can open the door. Reception was manned 24 hours. Nice staff. Bar is fine but pretty empty, which was a shame. Breakfast was good. Various sandwiches, fillings, eggs, yogurt etc. (Just that hotel-lobby music.... All the time. Terrible). Around the hotel there are some dining options and bars, which is nice. The hotel is located just too far away from the center (min 30 minutes walk). We did this once, but then took the bus each time. It stops on the main road and comes every 15 minutes. Tip: if you are returning by bus with 2 or more, take a 24-hour ticket for 5 people. You can as often as you want for less than €13.00 total. Overall: great hotel, good base.
