Mercure Hotel am Centro Oberhausen

Top service, good breakfast clean rooms very good check-in A hotel to recommend I'll give it 5 stars

The hotel is located in a commercial area; parking is only possible in the hotel parking lot (7.00 euros). Easy and quick to find. You can reach a few restaurants / snack bars / etc. on foot. The reception was friendly and professional. Check-in was quick and straightforward. In the lobby, there was a refrigerator with cold drinks (ask at the reception). Unfortunately, there is nothing to eat (only breakfast), but you can also order a pizza and eat it in the garden (with seating). The room was clean, no frills, everything clear and tidy. Sufficient space, air conditioning of the older (but functional) type. No minibar, no iron in the room. Breakfast was very good, fruit, yogurt, cereals, and the usual (cheese, eggs, sausage, etc.). Sweet; surprisingly good rolls and whole grain bread. And once again a hotel that understands how to keep "English Breakfast tea" in stock. Great. If I am in the area, I would gladly come back.

To end the evening peacefully after the concert without the stress of parking, we needed a hotel near the Rudolf Weber Arena. A short walk is generally not a problem for us, and a bit of fresh air after a concert is also nice, so we chose the Garner Hotel Oberhausen. We were warmly welcomed, and the room was very invitingly decorated. The lack of air conditioning and the fact that we could not sleep with the window open (the train tracks are right next to it) did not bother us. The breakfast was plentiful, and gluten-free bread was also no problem. The staff was very attentive, cleared the tables quickly, and asked the guests about their needs. We would gladly come back.
