Best Western Park Velbert

We were guests here for several days it is a nice hotel with very friendly staff. The breakfast has everything you need, only the bread is not fresh you can order extras - there is a breakfast menu. We didn't eat here. There was a wedding at the weekend but we did not suffer from that at all, we got rooms far from the party, top that one has taken that into account. Very strange that the rooms were never cleaned, a bit unpleasant. There was also no bicycle storage or possibility to load the car. I recommend the hotel for its nice quiet location on the green park and the enclosed parking where we did not have to pay extra (normally €9 per day). Velbert is a somewhat unsavoury town, if you want to see a bit more and eat well then I would rather head towards Dusseldorf.

We quickly found a spot in the paid parking lot right in front of the hotel. Free parking is also possible directly on the street in front. Everything was prepared for our visit, very friendly staff. There is an elevator, so we quickly reached our room on the 1st floor. The room was completely carpeted with soft floor carpet, everything was clean. We found the wardrobe a bit small, it contained the safe. We slept well in the double bed, there were thick blackout curtains. There was a chair in front of the desk, an armchair with a footstool, and a side table for sitting. There were luggage racks, an iron, and a coffee-making facility available. The Wi-Fi always worked perfectly. The TV was nice and large, unfortunately without access to the media library. There was a radiator in the room and a cooling fan for the outlet, but we didn't need it. The three-winged window could be opened individually. We enjoyed our stay. The bathroom was fitted with vinyl flooring, and the storage options were very limited. No heating. In the restaurant, the breakfast buffet was neatly arranged in a small space. There were enough seating options, and it was also possible to sit outside in nice weather. We enjoyed the very tasty three-course dinner in the evening, especially because the staff was exceptionally attentive! We have found breakfast buffets at 4-star hotels to be significantly better; the space in that area was also very cramped, while the dining room itself was generously designed. The central location offers sightseeing opportunities, and the location by the beautiful park makes the stay consistently pleasant, so we award a deserved overall rating of good. Overall, we give a good rating because of the location.
