Unfortunately, a hotel in need of renovation. We booked a superior room. The sink is cracked, the curtains are not in order, the table lamp has water damage, and so on. Very unfortunate. The hotel is otherwise beautifully located in the woods near the Rhine.

on arrival our booking had not come through, even though I had it in black and white. so no room. After a lot of searching we were assigned another room. No view, no balcony and no bath, which we did book. that was a big no. After 1.5 hours of whining at the reception, there was a (family) room, which we had booked. we came to the room and we were just shocked. Dirty toilet, dirty balcony, dirty windows, dirty carpeting. In our bedroom there was a door to the next room, everything, literally everything could be heard. Key cards failed 3x. Cleaning did not come, even after we found out that you have to request it via a QR code. They thought we were already leaving so they didn't come to clean. Went to the reception to get clean towels, no one at the reception. 5 min waited, no one yet. Walked into the bar, nobody did either. After 15 min I saw 2 people smoking outside! So that was the receptionists. Breakfast was good, and the view too. Park around it was very neglected, could have been so beautiful. Lots of money paid €500 for 3 nights, wasn't worth it

Outside, it looks quite run-down, but renovations have begun inside. Carpets are rippling in the hallways on the 4th floor. The staff on the phone beforehand were very friendly and helpful, but the reception on-site was obviously stressed. We did not have basic room service. We made our own beds and got new towels from the sauna area. Upon inquiry: preparing the room must be ordered a day in advance. We did not have any information. Wellness, sauna, fitness... No. Breakfast was okay. We were placed with our dog in an unheated side room. Initially into the dark... It was so strange that it was almost funny. I want to have a pleasant experience in a hotel. That was not the case. Stop! Except for one lady in the breakfast service, who was very nice and attentive.
