Mainzer Hof

The hotel is well located, with possibility to park nearby and the staff is nice. On the other hand, the soundproofing is not perfect, we hear conversations in the hallway and traffic noise (although muffled by windows, but the avenue is very busy). The view from the breakfast room is beautiful and the place is not crowded, I was able to settle in front of a glass. Worth a look

Nice hotel, very large room, bathroom small. Clean, fairly new inside. Price quality good. Just a good room for a fair price. Breakfast ok, a bit pricey for what you get. Plus, you can get free (very good) coffee in the lobby. You can park for a normal price in the parking garage opposite the hotel. This one is clean, safe and very new. Downside, it is quite noisy in the room.

I stayed in this hotel on Sunday 11th Unfortunately I left some expensive underwear which I had washed out on the towel rail in the bathroom. Over the next two days,I phoned over 10 times: 6 to no answer from reception and 4 times to speak to different people who told me to phone back The last call was cut off in the middle of me speaking. I was told that there was no manager or duty manager and that housekeeping hadn't handed anything in to reception and that was that!!!!! No apology, no attempt to check with housekeeping, no return call to me to explain. A rude, unpleasant experience that was typical of a mean and nasty hotel.
