Park Inn Mainz

Stayed one night at this hotel during our tour of Germany. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The location is outside the city centre so not all that close to restaurants (other than fast food). The hotel listing indicates it has a restaurant but upon our arrival at 6 pm on a Friday night the restaurant and bar were already closed? The hotel listing also indicates it has laundry facilities but when we asked at check in this was not the case. Unfortunate as that was part of our reasoning for selecting this hotel. The hotel has a large parking lot adjacent to the hotel which was very convenient.

The hotel is well recommended for a city break. Also very well located close to the ZDF Lerchenberg.The rooms and breakfast buffet were good. Unfortunately, the parking is not very well regulated. If you come back late at night the parking lots are quite occupied. It would be nice for the guest if the places were numbered to get a parking space again even on later return. There is an urgent need to improve this.

Difficult to write a review here. The price-performance ratio seems to be good at first glance..but let's take a closer look. The parking: cost “only” 7€ ..compared to Hamburg or Berlin an absolute snapper. But: very narrow and no parking available for all hotel guests..We late arrives has lost...the search for parking begins. Reception: Cool, friendly and decisive..unfortunately, as did the staff at the breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet: Good! Not overwhelming, but good. The room: on arrival location checked..at first glance clean...here and there times a few spots on the wall - manageable - but still fine. Carpet. A sea of spots... not so great. The decorative cushions on the bed liquid and stained. The bathroom small.. if you shower it needs at least. 5 min before the swath is pulled off and the mirror is released. The bottom of the water container for making a tea or coffee > calcified! When we looked under the bed on the day of departure to see if something had fallen off - then what moved me to award here only one star (actually a minus star): there were 2 empty flat men, an empty bottle and a Coke can under the bed!! YOU CAN'T DO THAT!
