Ibis Saarbruecken City

The air conditioning did not work in two rooms. The staffing or the availability of the staff was insufficient. Only a duvet and a towel were prepared in the room, although more were needed. Particularly disappointing was the lack of customer service, as our concerns were responded to inadequately or not at all.

Reservation on the website was a bit tricky. Stay was great. Welcome and information at reception were exemplary! Room spacious. In our case, behind the room door there is a small vestibule with proper wardrobes (with safe) and the door to the bathroom (with bathtub). This vestibule screens the actual room well against the hotel corridor. Balcony (but without privacy to the neighbor). Spacious room with two seats, armchair and chair. The small round side table, however, was extremely wobbly. Unfortunately no kettle in the room. In the bathroom there were three towels: 2 large and one small for the floor. The location of the hotel was better than expected - we explored the city on foot from there. Breakfast room is located on the 1st floor. OG. Breakfast was great. I would choose the hotel again the next time I stayed in Saarbrücken and recommend it to everyone.

1 star – Unfortunately a complete failure The check-in was done quickly, but after that it went steeply downhill. The room was barren and uncomfortable. The floor was cold and stained, the furniture old and worn, and overall the room had the charm of a waiting room. Cleanliness was only superficial – okay at first glance, but on closer inspection everything seemed unkempt and cheaply thrown together. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable, the bed creaked with every movement, and peaceful sleep was unthinkable because of the clairvoyance throughout the house. You could hear doors slamming all the time, footsteps in the hallway and even conversations from the next room. Overall, the hotel was a great disappointment. For the price I expected much more – at least some comfort or hospitality. Unfortunately, neither one nor the other. I can only advise. I don't think about a two visit for a long time.
