Days Inn Dessau Hotel

Wrong booking by hotel staff. Poor cleaning. Floor never mopped. Hair lay on the floor. No fridge. Little storage space for our things.

Stay from Friday to Sunday We arrived on Fridays and were met at check-in by a male staff member. The process was quick and straightforward, but we were accidentally told the wrong room number – can happen, but was a bit confusing. Once in the room, it was immediately noticeable that there was only an almost empty roll of toilet paper. We let the reception know, but unfortunately nothing was added the next day. It was only by chance that we met a female employee in the hallway, from whom we could then get toilet paper ourselves. The room was not clean overall. The floor was very dusty and obviously not thoroughly cleaned – you didn’t want to walk barefoot here. In the bathroom, hair and stains were found in almost every corner. Without bathing slippers we were reluctant to enter the area. The shower was also disappointing: The water jet was extremely weak, it took forever to finish. In addition, the water temperature was constantly fluctuating – from very hot to freezing – which made showering very uncomfortable. Breakfast was fine. At check-in we were asked if we would like to book this extra, which we did. Unfortunately, it was not correctly noted in the system. At check-out there was therefore confusion at first. Fortunately, the staff member was very friendly that day and was able to clarify the misunderstanding quickly. Conclusion: We were honestly happy to be able to leave again on Sunday. The hotel needs significant improvement in several areas – especially in terms of cleanliness and communication.

A pleasant stay with my husband and my dog in a perfect hotel. Breakfasts are very good, in the form of a continental buffet. Hotel surroundings = surrounded by nature. There's a lake nearby. The hotel is well located (not far from Highway 9)
