TOP VCH Luther-Hotel Wittenberg

I wouldn't have necessarily booked the Martas based on the pictures and reviews, but we came on recommendation - and the reasonable price convinced us as well. What can I say? The Martas is a great hotel; you can definitely stay here! We spent two nights in a standard double room - as we learned, the bathrooms on the upper floors are newer and have a shower. We had an older room with a bathtub, but surprisingly, it did not bother us at all, as the bathroom itself was pleasantly large and very clean and tidy. The only downside: A shower curtain! The room itself was also spacious and very clean. The carpet must have been replaced at some point; it was very well maintained. I would particularly like to highlight the good storage space and the many surfaces for placing items, as well as the options for hanging things up. I have rarely experienced this in a hotel room. A minor point of criticism: The reception could have pointed out during check-in that you need to request room service the night before. We only found the corresponding card in the room that contains this information on the first morning. Nevertheless, I was able to get a towel change from a friendly cleaning staff member in the hallway, as that was all we were concerned about. For breakfast, one should arrive early enough. At some point, they will stop replenishing. That does not mean that there is nothing left, but it does not look as appealing after many guests have already been there. We found the coffee from the pots, the vegan spreads, and the good rolls commendable. Otherwise, unfortunately, no highlights, but appropriate for a 3-star hotel. At least you can find a little something to start the day. The location of the hotel is perfect. You stay super centrally and can do everything in Wittenberg on foot. Nothing is really far away. Parking in the hotel underground garage is very expensive. We parked for free for three days, just a 5-minute walk away at the Wallstraße parking lot.

This is the second time we have been with our company and we are completely delighted again. Everything went perfectly from booking the 32 rooms to departure. The location is great, The team extremely helpful and professional and the breakfast simply fantastic. We definitely come back to the hotel during our next stay in Wittenberg. Great location close to the most important. Nice breakfast in nice and clean local. Good bed. The only disadvantage is that there are no sockets near the bed for charging.
