Hotel Restaurant Schanzenhaus

The hotel makes a neat and very clean impression. The location is close to the center, if you like to accept a longer path with a last significant incline. The room used by us in the 3rd floor. Stock was clean . Unfortunately, the water was collected from the sink in the underlying drawer under the sink. Small defect we reported on departure. The double bed can only be reached in this room on one side by a deep bow to it. Due to the slope of the roof. One had the impression here a single room was made into a twin room. The breakfast was good and the kindness of the staff too. For the first time during our overnight stays we were asked to provide exact data, except name and address, by email three times. We had not done that because address and name as well as accessibility by mail was always sufficient. On arrival, on the other hand, you didn't want to see any information or ID. On departure we could not pay cash. We missed that on the website. All in all a nice getaway , if you accept and love facts of any kind.

we were there for the second time, the first time we had the room nr 400 , in any case highly recommended: a beautiful view of the castle!!at the second time a supposedly similar room: very small, TV reception not possible, never again!

A hotel that does not care about criticism and does not respond to corresponding emails. It is the first time I have given a hotel an Inadequate. Single room, smaller can never,next to night entrance. The door slammed well after midnight and early from 5am. With 6 booked days there was not much night sleep. One should consider renting this mini dungeon for several days in a row. A long narrow passage to my sleeping corner, about 1 m wide and maybe 10 m long was lt. Reception a great thing????Should I walk or bowl there ? Another room was not possible. The blast was the room for my cousin and her disabled son, who is 100 percent wheelchair dependent. Despite written request beforehand that it is a very narrow wheelchair and he cannot walk, the room was discriminatory.To get to bed he had to be carried through half the room (45 kg).Showers could not be done at all(1week!!!). I expect hotel professionals to know the conditions of their rooms and also the minimum requirements for a wheelchair user. We have also booked long enough in advance. The exterior-- well.
