Great hotel, within walking distance to the town centre and added bonus of underground parking and a great buffet breakfast. Will stay again.

The condition of this hotel, as well as the attitude of some experienced staff, never ceases to amaze me. I have been here several times in the last few years. Those who take a business trip in Gera and the surrounding area have few hotel alternatives. If a hotel with a loyalty program is also preferred, the Mercure is alone in a wide hallway in Gera. Last visit: Accustomed to supercool, non-facing reception at reception, no word on AccorAll status, no upgrade, no benefits. No smiles. The shower has so little pressure that it is not possible for me to shower normally. I hold the shower in my hand the whole time. Breakfast is the normal standard in this type of hotel. Staff at breakfast extremely friendly and dedicated. Also in the restaurant there is decent food and very friendly service. Gastronomy a single bright spot because of the great people there!
