Akademiehotel Dresden

Attached to the DGUV training center, the Akademie Hotel in Dresden is unfortunately more of a lodging facility at a training center than a hotel. The breakfast room resembles a cafeteria more than the restaurant it is described as. If the internet suggests that breakfast is available here starting at 6:30 a.m., you will look in vain on Monday mornings, since breakfast is only served at 7:30 a.m. on Mondays because the training courses at the training center start later. If you are here as a hotel guest with appointments, you find yourself in front of locked doors and then leave the building without breakfast. At the reception, a question regarding this was unfortunately only met with a smile; there was no compensation for it. It is all the more annoying when you are on a business trip and have a portion of your daily expenses deducted for it. The rooms are okay, but unfortunately that is all. At least there is a shower here and not a bathtub for showering. There is clearly a lack of a way to keep a drink or a snack cool during the summer months. A big plus is actually the ability to choose between different pillows. Please keep the information on the website up to date.

We visited the Akademiehotel for the 1st. Time and were positively surprised. The many, well-secured parking spaces were already highly commendable. It is located, though that was a choice we made quite consciously, a bit off the beaten path. In return, it was very quiet and you could sleep with the window open. The room, incl. bathroom, was generously sized and very clean! The friendliness of the staff is especially worth highlighting: Top! At breakfast, we were able to see that there was something for everyone. The scrambled eggs and the fruit salad were especially good. The tram stop is less than 5 minutes away from the hotel; that is also not a problem. Conclusion: We can highly recommend this hotel and would love to come back!

We were once again booked into the Akademiehotel Dresden for a sporting event with a fan group. All almost 40 people were highly satisfied. The booking via the reservation service and the support for this was again first cream - Thank you for that. On site everything was super organized - quick CheckIn and CheckOut - super friendly staff. In the evening we could have a dip after the game in the beautiful sports bar. In short - this stay at the Akademiehotel Dresden was once again a highlight. Thanks to the team at Akademiehotel Dresden. We will definitely come back.
