Elbflorenz

Travelled as a couple and we stayed at Hotel Elbflorenz for 3 nights after cancelling our original apartment booking due to the lack of air conditioning. This was a last-minute decision, and we booked one of their Suite Rooms. Looking back, it turned out to be a very good choice. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the reception staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The hotel offers secure underground parking, which was extremely convenient given its location next to a business centre. At just €12 per day, the parking is excellent value and noticeably more affordable than many comparable hotels. The Suite Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Housekeeping was prompt every day, and all the toiletries provided were of good quality. We also used the hotel's laundry service, which was efficient and reasonably priced. Breakfast is not extravagant, but it offers a good selection to cater to most guests, and the staff deserve special appreciation for their attentive and courteous service. We also spent some time at the hotel bar, where we found a good variety of drinks in a pleasant atmosphere. The location worked well for us. Although it is not in the heart of the Old Town, it is less than 2 km from the main attractions and is very well connected by the local tram network. Having a supermarket and a coffee shop within walking distance was an added convenience. Another pleasant surprise was the hotel's flexibility with our late check-out request. Since we were staying in a suite, they charged only €10 per additional hour, which we felt was very reasonable and customer friendly. The only area where the hotel fell short was the air conditioning. We understand that our visit coincided with an exceptional heatwave, but for a hotel of this standard and reputation, we expected a more effective cooling system. The air conditioning was simply too mild to comfortably cope with the outside temperatures. That said, this was the only drawback during our stay. In every other aspect—service, cleanliness, comfort, parking, facilities and value for money—Hotel Elbflorenz exceeded our expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay and would gladly recommend it to anyone visiting Dresden.

We were greeted extremely friendly and accommodating. The check-in was quick and competent. I had booked the short break arrangement with business rooms facing the courtyard. The Italian restaurant in the house did not agree with us, although even there the service was very friendly. The breakfast service at the hotel is perfect and super nice! The location is very central and the sights of the old town very easy to reach on foot Thank you very much we will gladly come back!

An excellent hotel, the next time we stay in Dresden we are sure to be there again. Nice helpful staff, great breakfast, beautiful room, convenient location to center. What more could you want? Greetings from Vienna.
