Holiday Inn Dresden

Actually a good mid-range hotel. What's annoying is that Marriott sets the bar pretty high and then doesn't deliver. As a status customer (gold), I didn’t receive either the upgrade or the welcome gift in January – with a half empty house. You can easily live with it. But if great advertising is done and then not delivered, then that's pretty embarrassing.

The location of the hotel was a bit disappointing as it is rather far away from the city center. Our room was clean but rather basic. The in room safe did not work and the safety chain on the door was loose. Breakfast was really good with everything you could wish for. The staff at the front desk was not very welcoming.

Horrible Management. It's a shame to have such a disrespectful person (Mr Lohmeyer) as a representative for marriott. Lost complete feeling for humanity and equality. Calls his guests out of their names and defines himself through money and power. Pity.
