Taschenberg Palais Kempinski

Wonderful hotel service and staff. Charm space that is so often lacking in 5* hotels these days. Great room plenty of space all facilties. Nice view towards the rebuilt Church. Location couldnt be better for all the sights of the city. Opera house across the street and close but not too to the river. Staff just right on top of everything. Breakfast has great range of choices and produce.

We were at this beautiful hotel for three nights last weekend for a concert visit. Everything was perfect from A to Z, truly top-class. Super nice staff, from the front desk to housekeeping to the service in the restaurant and bar. Very well-trained ladies and gentlemen; you immediately notice that you are a guest in a 5* superior establishment there. Everything top clean. Large and beautifully designed rooms. Great bathroom with rain shower, etc. Everything decorated very artistically, Baroque style, but still done in a modern way. Huge breakfast buffet with everything the heart desires. You can also order something from the menu at the same time. I can highly recommend the eggs Benedict with salmon here. "Divine" :-) There are several restaurants attached to the huge Taschenbergpalais. We were at Kastenmeier (fish restaurant). What can I say, I have never eaten so sumptuously before. And that is saying something, I have already seen quite a bit of the world.... Had oysters as an appetizer and grilled lobster. Truly delicious. Accompanied by a nice glass of rosé champagne and wine recommended by the very nice service staff member. Furthermore, we also went to the Paulaner. They have hearty food there. I had the Wiener Schnitzel, for example - everything was prepared perfectly, nothing to complain about there. In the evenings, we still enjoyed going to the beautiful hotel bar. Also very professional service there with good advice regarding the cocktails, which were also explained in detail upon request. Even the rosé wine that wasn't available at the bar at that moment was procured in no time from the restaurant next door just for me. That impressed me a lot - not something you can take for granted, in my opinion. That is what 5-star service is like! I also made use of room service. Also fast, and a small misunderstanding was resolved very accommodatingly. I had ordered 3 drinks to restock the minibar. These were delivered in glasses, however. I had assumed they would be delivered in bottles. I hadn't asked beforehand, of course, but everything was handled very kindly by the staff member. A big thank you for this as well. Well, the report has become quite long. We will certainly come back next year when our beloved "Kaiser-Mania" takes place. By the way, I was traveling with a good buddy, and we both had a room to ourselves.

We have now stayed at the Taschenbergpalais for the third time and felt completely comfortable again. The staff are consistently extremely friendly, attentive, and courteous, the rooms are beautiful, and the food is excellent. Although it is an upscale hotel, the price-performance ratio is absolutely right – our expectations were fully met. You feel welcome and in good hands from the very first moment. The location could not be better either. For us, a very special place that we are very happy to return to.
