Best Western Grand City Hotel Halle

The TRYP by Wyndham Halle is great value for money. It's not in the city centre, but it's easily accessible via tram. The rooms are uncomplicated and functional. There is a nice restaurant which serves large portions for dinner, and breakfast is excellent. We were on holiday in Halle with a friend who was unfortunately sick halfway through our stay. The hotel staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, even providing us with a new room free of charge as the old one was being cleaned. My only minor complaint was that the gym machines didn't seem to be working, but we didn't have time for a workout anyway.

Unfortunately getting old, no opening hours of the restaurant as described on the website. Double beds very narrow ( 140cm) TV small and poorly positioned .

Hotel is conveniently located. Standard of understaffed reception well below the (already not too high) WYNDHAM standard. Distanced, slow and unempsthical. Duvet with hole. Evening fake alarm with fire department and police. Everyone stood in front of the hotel in the cold - including children and babies. No information, only automatic announcement in continuous loop, no designated or instructed collection rooms. Emergency concept not recognizable. After the event, no communication with customers, no warning, no explanation and of course no apology.
