Comfort Hotel Leipzig West

Would not recommend this hotel. You could hear that the neighbor was in the bathroom. You could hear people living upstairs. The breakfast was really not inviting, so it became 1/2 piece round without anything on and the kids ate nothing. A little trellis ending on his vacation. Bed, dyne and pillows were good.

First of all, we should say that we did not choose this hotel but were rebooked here from another hotel in the chain. Unfortunately, the other one was overbooked. The positive: The lady at reception was really friendly and the staff at breakfast were also nice. There are parking spaces, but not necessarily enough. If you arrive later in the evening, you have to park in the turning circle in front of the hotel. Otherwise, the reception is open 24 hours a day. Unfortunately, that was it for the positives. When we arrived, there were three of us in two double rooms, and we discovered that one of our rooms was not ready for arrival. Now you can say "it can happen", but something like that should be checked before you receive your guests. The room was then cleaned after we let them know. The rooms are showing their age in terms of furnishings and equipment, but they are fine for sleeping. However, more light would not hurt. It was quite dark (even with light) and a bit oppressive. The bathrooms were a disaster. The tiles in the shower were partially broken and there was black deposits (mold?) in the joints and corners. The shower head was extremely chalky and the silver paint was chipping off everywhere. In the bathroom of the other room it was even worse. In addition to the tiles, the ceiling was also covered in small mold spots and the bathroom also smelled of mold. The drain in the sink smelled of manure and when I rinsed my mouth from brushing my teeth on the first evening almost all of it came up... In addition, the cleaning staff (and I really don't mean that in a bad or even racist way) hardly spoke German and communication was very difficult. It took almost 10 minutes to explain that our room had to be cleaned for our arrival. I don't understand why I, as a guest, have to communicate this again with the people outside our room when the hotel staff had already said it beforehand. There is actually no room for questions and discussions. We were then offered something to drink while we waited. That was nice, but unfortunately it doesn't make up for the massive deficiencies in the end. Furthermore, and this was intolerable for me, the guys (from the cleaning crew) stormed into the rooms twice on the day of departure (once in each room) to clean them. There was even a "Do not disturb" sign on one of our rooms, which was simply ignored. There was also no knock beforehand. We weren't even finished and hadn't checked out yet; there were still 2 hours until the latest check-out time!! The carpets in the hallways are worn and dirty. The hallways were very dark and dreary. In general, the overall impression was very unkempt and anything but comfortable. The toilet seat on the toilets on the ground floor was no longer properly secured and was hanging half in the air. Some of the tables at breakfast were already worn and the rolls were rock hard when cut. Although it has to be said that once you finally cut them, they were quite tasty. I was glad that the elevator had been inspected this month according to the sticker. It was really creepy. The transport links were fine. We were able to get to the hotel easily by car. The highway in front of the hotel was surprisingly quieter than we expected. The location is rather boring in an industrial area. In its current state, I would unfortunately not recommend this hotel for any price in the world. I am also not sure whether this hotel is even allowed to operate in this run-down and sometimes really dirty state. Now that I have two days since this experience, I regret not having insisted on a price reduction and having pointed out the defects on site. Because that's just not how it works! It's a real shame. When I look at the other REGIOHOTEL buildings in the pictures, they all look really nice and inviting (at least on the outside). This one, "Leipzig West", seems to fall outside the grid.

The room we stayed in was infected with bed bugs. Not only one, but many. Unfortunately we figured that out in the morning. Be extra careful if you stay in that hotel!! We are already fighting with the super itchy bites.
