Mercure Am Johannisplatz

Very poor quality. The worst of front desk experience , no one helpful, all very rude and rushed, like they were being bothered by the guest asking for an extra towel or a cleaning of the room. The beds were awful, old, mattresses not comfortable and the bed liken worn and yellow from previous guests. Pillows not existent. The 3 pillows were so flat they did not make me sleep. The springs in the mattresses were felt through the bed and piled on my back. For 280£ a night during the tradeshow OT world, a rip off. Even the barman annoyed that we asked for a drink. Aperol spritz at 8 euro, rip off, small glass full of spearmint water. Waiter annoyed that I asked to make it stronger. I arrived and room was untidy, bathroom dirty and dust everywhere. Same experience suffered from other clients of mine staying there from other parts of the world. The only decent thing was breakfast selection Whixh was good. Waiter next time could wash his hair before serving and cleaning the table , he looked very sloppy and scummy. A terrible stay. 4 nights of no sleep.

City center hotel with good value for money, large, spacious and clean rooms, bathroom furnishings a bit old, but also clean! On-site car park, friendly staff and very rich breakfast buffet

We were not satisfied! A dinner was charged twice, although the organizer ordered by person and a person could NOT attend the dinner and thus a spouse of a participant (after consultation with the event director) used the meal, charged again, here 28,00 €. Despite an attempt to clarify, the employees were stubborn and charged the seminar participant for this food! Conclusion: The hotel has enriched itself with the food! And a last checkout for "only" 25.00 € (until 16:00) didn't work either. The two cards were already locked at 2:30 p.m.! The fact that there was no mint available for a cocktail in the so-called bar is just a side note! Luckily, we caught 12 more salt sticks from the day before! The staff in the bar was very polite though! The breakfast buffet was very plentiful and very good!
