Rathaushotel Oberwiesenthal

A very well-maintained hotel where I was welcomed very kindly. The room was also beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. A very nice, pleasant, and family atmosphere prevails in this establishment. Food is great, AI with delicious buffets. I was treated very respectfully here as a single traveler and a virtually "non"-paying customer, because the stay at this hotel was a prize in a sweepstakes. The central location in the middle of town is great for reaching everything either on foot or by bus. Everything is TOP! Thank you! If it weren't so terribly far away, I would love to come again sometime. My tip, a MUST: Definitely arrive from Cranzahl on the nostalgic Fichtelberg Railway. Some of the trains even have an open-air car, really impressive and very stylish when you arrive in town like that :-)

We were back in Oberwiesenthal after almost 20 years. The choice of hotel was coincidental. We were very positively surprised. All-inclusive is taken literally here. The hotel is very nice and clean. The food in buffet form (a different theme every evening) was very tasty and plentiful. The staff is very friendly and hardworking. We will come back.

I was in 2 different rooms, but unfortunately, in both, the white window frames were dark brown inside due to dirt. The white towels were held up to the light because they had a grayish hue, and I noticed brown stains. And that was the case in both rooms. I suspect they have not been washed in hot water for a long time, disgusting. Soap dispensers were thick with dust. The white tiles had stains everywhere. ETC. There is an urgent need for a thorough deep cleaning in all the rooms. The food and service, however, were good. Friendly staff.
