Am Schlosspark

Unfortunately, our stay did not meet the standard of a four-star hotel at all. We were given a very small room that was more suitable for one person than for two. Directly in front of the window were metal stairs, so the view consisted practically only of these stairs. Directly above the room was a platform with technical equipment. One air conditioning unit in particular caused strong vibrations and a very unpleasant, dull noise. The vibrations were so disturbing that it was hardly possible to sleep peacefully. Furthermore, the Wi-Fi connection in the room was very poor; we practically had no internet there. We asked at the reception for a room change. The employee, however, reacted very arrogantly and said he could do nothing. We were also told that there were no other vacant rooms. Later, however, we saw on Booking.com that rooms were still available. The statement that the system would no longer be running from 9:00 PM and the next morning was also incorrect. The next morning, the air conditioning was switched back on around 7:30 AM. For the price and the classification as a four-star hotel, the conditions were absolutely inappropriate. We took photos and videos of the situation and the noise. Overall, the stay was very disappointing, especially because of the room, the noise, the poor Wi-Fi, and the unprofessional handling of our complaint.

Unfortunately, the name “Am Schlosspark” does not fit the actual environment at all. The hotel is located in the middle of an industrial area, directly opposite a supermarket parking lot – nothing of a castle park can be seen. The rooms, known as “Junior Suite”, look more like simple apartments. The TVs are outdated and look at least 15 years old. In summer, the stay could also be problematic, as there is no air conditioning. However, the reception at the reception in the evening was particularly disappointing. The pensioner atmosphere was by no means worthy of a “castle park” hotel.
