Pension Toscana

We were a bit surprised to arrive at the hotel to find no one in the office and to eventually learn that we had to pay cash for the room (i.e. no credit cards - who does that?!?!?). The place was nice, clean and simple and we were able to walk to see the castle which is why we made a stop in Schwerin.

The pension was very nice and clean. Our room was facing the street and therefore we experienced some noise during the night. The breakfast was good. The only really negative thing was that lady working there did not understand English, and we barely understand German. Therefore it was hard to understand the information we were given during check-in and checkout.

Toscana lies conveniently at the underpass from the city, just some 10 minutes from old town, the hauptbahnhof etc. The rooms are clean and sober in the IKEA way, and have everything you need, except the bath towels which you need to ask for. There is not much of service, but everything you ask is provided for. Breakfast at 7,50 € is acceptable, nothing spectacular. Inner yard parking is convenient at 5 € per night.
