Were in this hotel as a couple, all so far quite okay. The Leonardo Group wants to build on the level of an intercity hotel - of course, the same obviously does not succeed as it seems to have been thought. The hotel is located right next to the train station, left and right 2 underground car parks, bus and tram stop (incl. Ticket vending machines!) in the immediate vicinity - there car can stay in the underground garage and you can use public transport great! Upon arrival, the overflowing ashtray immediately catches the eye outside at an angle next to the hotel entrance. You start saying "oh!" Check-in was done in no time, you seem to have good staff at the reception. It is very quiet and quiet in the hotel building, you appreciate that. Room was also okay, clean, just everything taken over from the previous owner. The bathroom with toilet and shower was quite worn out though: wavy flooring, the sink was clean but you could tell it had already passed the best times. The bracket for the shower head I had to repair first - totally loose and screw corroded. Well, little thing, but it should have caught the eye of room service. Partly black spots in the corners of the shower; a complete renovation of the bath would be good. Breakfast was also good: yes it's standard breakfast, so there's something for everyone, but unfortunately the breakfast level of an intercity hotel doesn't quite come close. The girls from the breakfast service make every effort but they can only serve up what they get in goods. Overall, for this hotel the grade "Good", but no more but no less.

Why go to an intercity hotel right next to the train station? Because you arrive late and are happy to be able to get into the room. The hotel is perfectly located next to Erfurt train station, the rooms are clean and well decorated, the Wi-Fi works, the breakfast is neat. At breakfast it is with good booking situation but mass handling, for the same money you can probably also have breakfast in 20 cafes in the city in peace. That's all there is on the credit side. Booking through the homepage with breakfast, but only the overnight stay will be charged, why doesn't the staff at the hotel know, so you have to pay for breakfast there at check-in, where it was first claimed that I had booked without breakfast, then you direct the email to the hotel at the reception to give you faith. Over days there are emails in advance, do your online check-in, all done bravely, at check-in you hold the QR code under the reader... "Your check-in is not possible electronically, please go to reception". Everything ridiculous, pseudo-progress, dear intercity hotel, does something like this when it works, otherwise quite traditionally and without emails, knick-knack and triple effort. Progress backwards makes no sense. Not a hotel where you would go on holiday, but there is really better in Erfurt. For the average rating I have to give myself a jolt.

As with all InterCity hotels, which are aimed at the business traveller, the experience can be rather impersonal and if you use the online self check in process you can stay several days without interacting with any of the staff. Some people like this!
But the rooms are large, clean and well equipped A.D. the breakfast buffet is excellent with plenty of choice.
Location, as ever, is outside the railway station but with a frequent tram service to the centre just one or two stops away.
There is a good bar/restaurant nearby (opposite the station entrance) for good beer and food.
