Mercure Erfurt Altstadt

We specifically booked a room facing the courtyard, which cost extra. What did we get!? A room facing the street, extremely loud, you cannot sleep, no air conditioning, and the windows do not open wide. At the reception during the complaint, we were told that they could not help us; when we inquired if the manager was available, we were told he only works 8 hours and is no longer reachable. Even this morning, they could not help us as it felt like only children were working there. For us, it is clear: never again.

Centrally located hotel from which is in 5 min at the Krämer Bridge and thus at one of Erfurt's attractions. Super nice staff no matter if at reception or breakfast. We felt completely comfortable.

The hotel has a perfect location as you can explore everything on foot. The rooms are a bit old. The bathrooms have probably been renovated, but the rest is more from the 80s. The minibar is included in the room rate, which we really loved. The staff was friendly and helpful. For a short city break we can really recommend the hotel.
