Dorint Hotel Erfurt – Service desert Germany. We arrived on June 17, 2026, for a business trip at the Dorint Hotel Erfurt. At check-in, the receptionist Maxi Serafin informed us that we would not receive room service because our stay only covered two nights. Since this circumstance was not communicated during the booking or prior to our arrival, I addressed it with her. Her response was: "That is why I am telling you now." I found this remark to be quite rude, and the policy itself seemed to lack a service-oriented approach. In many years of extensive travel, I have rarely encountered such an arrogant reaction to a legitimate inquiry. Only after I made it clear that I would not accept this approach did Ms. Serafin explain that she would "note it and see if something could be done." We spend five to six months a year in hotels worldwide for both business and personal reasons, and we have been guests at various Dorint hotels in the past. This experience was all the more disappointing. Both the policy itself and the manner in which guests are treated. It is clear to us: After this experience, we will prefer other hotels in the future.

Small rooms, no individual touch, rooms facing the atrium without an outside view, access from the lobby to the cathedral is regularly closed, the lights are turned off for guests in the bar on weekends between 12:30 AM and 1:00 AM, garage costs 25 euros per day... we can't think of anything positive about this hotel... the only pleasant exception is the staff at the reception. Overall, not a good choice.

The hotel is located in the centre of Erfurt and well suited for exploring Erfurt. The staff is friendly, attentive and helpful. The breakfast buffet is very good and offers a rich selection. The rooms are large, however, and here comes the only noticeable downside, in the decor already quite outdated. It seems very dark and unfashionable. And offers the smallest TV I've found in a hotel in a long time. Otherwise, however, everything is coherent.
