Best Western Blankenburg Hotel

We had a quiet comfort room located on the side and slept well in the double bed pushed together. The staff member at the reception was very friendly, there are parking spaces in front of the building. It is about a 10-minute walk to the city center, the bus stop at the neighboring Aquaria pool is 50 m away. In the morning there was a very good breakfast buffet that really left nothing to be desired.

The booking and parking reservation worked excellently. When we arrived we rolled our suitcases over a stair ramp to the entrance. But it was locked. About 50 meters away there was a new entrance with stuffing. We grew our suitcases up to the reception. There was just discussion about lost keys until we were welcomed. After checking in we had to carry our suitcases again to the elevator. Accessibility is different. We had booked a comfort room, which was very spacious (30sqm) with neat functional furniture and good beds. The bathroom was OK. At breakfast the bread rolls were the best. Bread selection poor. Tea selection good. Coffee unfortunately only from thermoses. The cheese platter had been looted and was only refilled when we were done. We weren't thrilled. For one night this is fine but a longer stay we cannot recommend.

My stay at the Best Western Blankenburg Hotel in Coburg was excellent. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always making me feel welcome and well cared for throughout my stay. The breakfast was another highlight — fresh, varied, and beautifully presented, offering a perfect start to the day. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and in a great location, making it easy to explore Coburg. Overall, the combination of warm hospitality, great service, and a delicious breakfast made this a truly enjoyable experience. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to others visiting Coburg.
