Cape Sounio, Grecotel Exclusive Resort

Excellent view under Poseidon temple with amazing jazz music by a brilliant band!!! Thank you!!!

All staff have been brilliant, empathetic and attentive to our needs and made our stay very special: Alexia from reservations for bearing with us; Sofia and Marzana from reception for welcoming us with a beautiful smile; Lukas, Yiannis and Konstantinos for helping my mum in and out of the golf carts and transferring us many many times around the hotel as well as all the boys from the golf carts; Nicoletta from the hotel lounge for her advice, cocktails and positive energy; Dimitris, Alexandros, Konstantinos from breakfast and buffet dinner too, for their endless supplies of coffee and keeping us hydrated!!! Antonis and Aggeliki from breakfast for the gluten free options; Dimitris from the pool; Ariana and Xenia from the pool restaurant for keeping my mum company and making her laugh; Vaggelis from Yali and breakfast for his vast knowledge of fish and Greek wine advice and attentiveness to my mother’s needs; Georgia and Agapi from Yali for serving our food with love; Foteini and Sifis for talking to us about ingredients and cooking us amazing food; George from sup and snorkelling for his endless energy in trying to find my golden ring at the bottom of the sea. The food and the cocktails were indeed divine! THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU!!

Pros: - Kids club is great with nice activities and friendly educators. - Food is great! The restaurant by the pool has a large choice of options, including GF ones 🤩 - Beautifully decorated villas. - Helpful and positive members of staff. Downsides: - The gym is too small for such a resort. - The place is located next to the road which you can hear at some moments of the day (for sunset at Cape Sounio). - Cars can circulate within the resort - such a shame. It would be so great for kids to be able to walk alone safely. - Breakfast: lack of alternatives. GF is very limited (unlike the restaurant next to the pool) and I had to insist on having something else than crispbread. I believe this resort puts a lot of focus on well-being and healthy food and I was expecting a bit more on these sides. Overall, we had a very good stay.
