Electra Palace Athens

I had asked for a early check in before confirming my booking in which they agreed they can offer early check in, upon arrival after a 10 hour flight they said it was not available and subject to availability. The airport transfer that was booked is also late and I had to go find the taxi driver on my own, who does that? The front desk is also curt and not accommodating nor service oriented. This is not a 4 or 5 star hotel, their service is not good at all, and not worth the money.

We stayed here for two nights as part of a larger visit to Greece. This hotel is beautiful inside and out, with a lot of character. The staff was extremely helpful, especially when we needed some assistance with a tour operator. Our room was a good size, but the bed was two twins pushed together rather than one queen size bed. Plenty of closet and other storage space. The room and all of the common areas were very clean. But the best thing about the Electra Palace is the rooftop restaurant with it's stunning view of the Acropolis and Parthenon! We started dinner during daylight, stayed through the sunset, then ate dessert as we watched the Acropolis light up. The food was excellent, and the free breakfast has a huge selection of food. The location, in the Plaka, puts you right in the middle of shopping and numerous restaurants in walking distance.

Veronika gives attentive, caring and excellent treatments. I highly recommend her and the spa and would book her again.
