Holiday Inn Athens-Attica Avenue

Stayed overnight between our incoming and outgoing island flight. This place really works, it has the shuttle to pick you up and drop you off, the staff at reception and in the bar are excellent and you can't go wrong with the rooms/bathrooms either. This hotel is our go to place if traveling through ATH as it provides great service, comfortable rooms and decent food at a reasonable price. Long may it continue

Older property that is in good condition. Lovely beds, pillows and towels. Very clean, quiet, full of in room amenities like safe, A/C, bidet, robe, kettle, slippers, mini fridge, bedside plugs. The on site restaurant is a great choice and has a full bar. Did not have time for the included breakfast due to an early flight but they did have coffee cake, fruit and coffee. Room was large and plenty of lightening. Only drawback to consider in this location is that it’s about a 15 min drive from the airport with nothing nearby unless you take a cab. The shuttle only runs hourly so we waited a bit at the airport for one to arrive but they do provide that service. Make sure you make a reservation for the trip to the airport when you check in. Front desk very friendly and well staffed and speak English. Very helpful.

The building and rooms were nicely maintained and parking was available for our rental. Free transportation to and from the airport is provided and the driver went out of his way to assist with baggage. We stayed here 2 nights, bookending our flights to and from Santorini and Mykonos. Most of the front reception staff were exceptional. But there was one major exception: the woman with the long hair and tight curls who wasn’t wearing a name badge. She appeared to be in charge as we observed her acting bossy to the other staff - she was extremely RUDE on both of our stays. If the hotel wants to maintain a good reputation, this individual needs to attend customer service training and placed on probation. All in all, we would stay here again but we would try to avoid any interaction with this individual.
