Hotel Parthenis

We were a family of 4 (2 Adults, 4yr old & 2yr old). We had a family room with sea view and it was a perfect layout for our family. The rooms are modern, spotless, fully functioning air con, fridge, tv in each room. Beds were comfy and maid service each day if you wanted beds made up. Balcony looked over the sea with sun setting onto balcony in evenings. Location wise, for people who moan about the hotel being next to the road, then more fool them for not researching where the hotel is before booking! The hotel is opposite a paid beach - we paid 6Euro entry for the day - perfect sand with lovely beachside bar, clean toilets, showers, first aid etc. Supermarket within 5 min walk. Lovely restaurants in Voula which is a 15-20 min walk. Easy with buggy. Head for Leoforos Vasileous Pavlou for a wide range of restaurants, ice cream parlours, bars and bakery. Lovely atmosphere. We visited free beaches that were lovely (a little pebbly) north in Glyfada - Mansion beach we found the best with the kids (Paralia Glyfadas stop on Tram 7) which also had a sandpit Playpark with pirate ship, swings, etc. The public transport is easy with the 5 day pass you can get from the tram stop opposite. We travelled into central Athens twice once via Tram and once via the bus. Easy and just over an hour taking you to temple of Zeus/Syntagama square. Fantastic service from the staff who made all of us feel welcome. Airport transfer was 40Euro all in for a taxi booked by the hotel. Thank you for hospitality, highly recommend for young families and we look forward to hopefully returning again in the future :)

For what you pay, this hotel generally exceeds expectations. If your expectations are 4 stars then stay elsewhere but there are elements where they score highly. The bathroom and shower, the staff and the location are 5 stars, but after that it’s a bit downhill. The room was small and the bed was sooo creaky. The walls are thin so you hear everything going on! But remember this is a 2 star value hotel so be realistic. I wouldn’t stay again because I like my creature comforts but for the money it’s very good.

We booked a room for 1 week and we recommend this place 100%. First of all, the owner and in general the reception are really kind people. From the reservation till our departure they were willing to help us. Clear information about what we needed. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel is very close to the bus station.
