Ob Athens Boutique Hotel

From the outside the Q&B (Ochre and Brown) Hotel is unassuming, located on a narrow street housing a few bars and mom-and-pop stores. It's quite easy to walk right by it. Just around the corner, though, there are at least a dozen restaurants/bistros and a couple of bodegas. Plus: a fantastic view of the Parthenon. And it's only a ten-minute walk to Monastiraki Station, with luggage! Everything in the inside of the hotel is top notch. Rooms were inviting, well-appointed, and comfortable. The staff (room service; breakfast attendants; front desk; management) is friendly, eager to answer questions, and help out otherwise. It seemed like everyone enjoyed working there. We stayed for four nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Well, except for the loud music on Saturday night coming from one club down the street. However, that was not enough of a nuisance to keep Q&B Hotel from getting a 5 star rating (excellent) from us

A very good hotel with unbeatable staff for their professionalism and attention to our needs. The location is great, between Plaka, Monastiraki and Theseus but away from the bustle, with good options for both budget (Plaka) and higher level restaurants in front of Hephaestus temple and Acropolis views. We were in two rooms, one great and one not so much but with quality. Very useful and abundant amenities (water, bath products, coffee, ouzo...), very good cleanliness and, above all, hospitality. Breakfast buffet excellent in quality and quantity. If we go back to Athens, we would repeat.

This hotel is in a great spot for exploring Athens. I was wary of the rather churlish review elsewhere on this site regarding location; graffiti and pavement but this was misleading. All Athens has been defaced by graffiti and the perpetrators are no respectors of heritage. Yes the street outside has crumbling paviors but that too is the case all over. Athens is a compact and rather confined city so its vibrant night culture will generate noise wherever you stay. The rooms were clean and modern with very comfortabie beds and excellent showers. Breakfast had a good and healthy selection that should please everyone. The outstanding thing, above all that, is the staff: such a friendly and helpful bunch who arranged things for us and gave advice that really enhanced our stay.
