Omiros Hotel

This hotel is one of the most affordable in the area and the quality/price ratio is excellent. It is located in Plaka, a neighborhood full of shops, activities, and restaurants. Very well served by public transport (the Syntagma Metro stop is located 300 meters from the hotel), the property is a bit dated but if you are not too demanding, you will find an excellent starting point for visiting Athens. Breakfast is basic and consists of classic pre-packaged products. The reception staff gave us important tips for visiting Athens.

Good budget hotel room was clean and functional but not much more AC works well but was hard to put on. Breakfast was below average but edible. The location is optimal and for like 65 € night you can not expect much more.

I stayed at this hotel during my stay in Athens in January 2026. It is a simple but extremely well located hotel, very close to Syntagma Square and the main tourist activities of the city (you reach the Acropolis in about 20 or 25 minutes walk), making it an excellent choice. It is true that the rooms would need some updating, as you can see the passage of time in the hotel. However, our double room was comfortable and spacious, with a full bathroom and basic amenities (hand soap and bath gel). Breakfast is very simple (coffee and orange juice are highly improveable), but for the price it is very acceptable, and the basics are offered to start the day with energy. Of particular note is the friendliness of the reception staff, available 24 hours a day, as well as the storage service to be able to leave bags or backpacks on the last day of travel.
