Overpriced! Certainly not luxury I can see why its lost the 5 star rating down to 4 star but i still don't believe its worth the money. i would rate it a 3 star at best. Not worth the money. Excellent views but room was disappointing, needs updating, quite cramped, much mould found in bathroom on tiles and in shower, terribly dated decor, small bathroom with one sink that quickly fills with water. The gym is poor, not worth using and very noisy rooms, not well soundproofed.

A Beautiful View Overshadowed by an Unforgettable Experience On 27 June, at around 6:00 p.m., my family took our mother, who uses a wheelchair, to the Roof Garden of St. George Lycabettus Hotel. We entered together with her, and the staff who welcomed us told us that we could sit wherever we liked. Our only wish was to enjoy a cup of coffee together while she admired one of the most beautiful panoramic views of Athens. When we attempted to sit at one of the front tables overlooking the city, another member of staff denied us that seating position. We politely explained that we wished to remain where we had initially been told we could sit. We were then told that not only our table as well as all other front tables in the main seating area were “reserved.” This came as a surprise, as the café was far from full, no reservation signs were visible, and only moments earlier we had been told that we could sit wherever we liked. When we respectfully asked for an explanation, the answers became increasingly inconsistent. We were simply told that these tables were “kept for guests,” despite the obvious fact that we, too, were guests wishing to enjoy the café. What hurt the most was not the refusal itself. Businesses are entitled to have policies and reservations. It was the timing. The table became unavailable only after my mother, in her wheelchair, joined us. No reasonable explanation was ever provided that could dispel the impression that her disability had changed the way we were being treated. The most painful moment came when my mother quietly looked at us and said, “Let’s go.” She felt embarrassed, unwelcome, and deeply humiliated. Watching someone you love feel that they are being separated from everyone else simply because they use a wheelchair is something no family should experience. As we left, we asked to speak with the manager, hoping this was all a misunderstanding that could be resolved immediately. Unfortunately, despite our repeated requests, no manager came to speak with us. We left without anyone taking responsibility while they tried to make up more excuses regarding how certain front tables in the main cafe are reserved daily for hours on end for guests whether they are present or not. Luxury is not measured by a hotel’s location, décor, or spectacular views. It is measured by how people are treated, especially those who are most vulnerable. Accessibility is not just about ramps and elevators. It is about dignity, inclusion, and ensuring that every guest feels equally welcome. I sincerely hope this experience does not reflect the values of St. George Lycabettus Hotel. However, for our family, what should have been a pleasant evening became a deeply upsetting memory that my mother will not easily forget. I hope the hotel investigates this incident seriously, provides proper staff training on disability awareness and equal treatment, and ensures that no other family has to watch a loved one feel excluded in this way. Because everyone deserves not only access, but respect.

Very disappointing hotel - the rooms are very small particularly for the expensive price. A triple room is tiny for my daughter, husband, 4 year old and 7 month old. The fridge didn’t work, the curtains are worn out and hanging off broken hooks. Cheap finishes in the rooms, corridors and noisy doors.
