After a long and tiresome Ferry from Ikaria to Piraeus - about 8 hours from arrival at the port of Agios kirikos at 6.25am. I caught the shuttle bus around the port to gate E7 exit and got a taxi to thr hotel. I have stayed here before, but this time I wasn't made to feel very welcome ar reception. When I got to the room, there was no water in the fridge and no key in the room safe. So had to make a trip back down to reception. I did get a bottle of water and eventually a key to the room safe.
None of this was the standard I had received previously and this has left me very disappointed. On what I saw today, this is not the boutique hotel that I have visited before. The hotel has 3 days to improve the impression that I have so far, or I will find a different hotel next time. Having said all that the room and bathroom are ok if a bit small and there is little natural light able to enter the room so the curtains are kept closed. I would have preferred more natural light.
And camomile tea is not my bag a good cup of English tea would be good. Glad I brought my own from Samos!
