Hotel with an island character and easy access. Our two-room room is clean and air-conditioned. A rich breakfast made the impression that it even had freshly pressed orange juice and not of commerce.

Our acquaintance with the hotel came amid a difficult situation for us due to the fire in Milotomo. What I can say with certainty is that Filoxenia apartments embodies its values of hospitality and good quality of service. The room we stayed in was very spacious and clean with a double bed, sofa and a small kitchen with stoves and refrigerator. The bathroom was very spacious with a very large and special shower. The decor was minimal and very careful. From the balcony you had a sea view. The outdoors are all very careful with the pool and waiting space to dominate. What impressed me was the breakfast, all the choices were fresh ingredients and freshly sourced orange juice that you can hardly find in hotels in Greece and abroad. All staff was very kind and always there to serve us. In short, it is worth staying because you will find everything you need in a really beautiful place that gives you a rest. We were two couples from Cyprus and had booked two rooms over the phone. The lovely owner (pappous), his grandson, and the kitchen staff were very helpful and welcoming! The rooms were spacious—one had two balconies, a bedroom, a separate living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom. The other room with a combined bedroom and kitchen area, was also huge. Both rooms were clean, and the service was excellent, with restocking of supplies whenever needed. The price was 100 euros per room including breakfast! The hotel had a pool, which was great! Breakfast was decent—though on one day, there weren’t many options, but that’s what happens when you wake up late :) Make sure to try the Kythera rusks at breakfast! There’s also a magazine in the lounge with information about the Kythera area; check it out on your first day, as it’s very helpful. The location is peaceful, family-friendly, and lovely. If you plan to explore Kythera, this hotel is ideal, as it’s close to the stunning Fournoi beach and Karavas for rusks. The Chora is about 30 minutes away, but if you’re comfortable driving at night, it’s no problem! Be aware of the bees in Kythera!
