We have been visiting the Aktaion for over 20 years. In the beginning this was a traditional Greek, rustic family run hotel in a wonderful beachfront location in Scala, Agistri where you could expect the unexpected to happen anytime. Over the year’s Dionysis and Zina have gradually improved the property and facilities beyond recognition, transforming it into the wonderful sunshine accommodation that we now see. The rooms are varied in size and facilities (often dependent on budget) but all are excellently equipped with today’s modern facilities including jacuzzis if that’s what is wanted.
Over the last couple of years the pool and restaurant areas have been transformed beyond recognition, yet, that traditional family Greek feel has been retained.
This place is a bit special with wonderful views over the Agean and an excellent restaurant where you can relax at the end of the day.
The Aktaion is a great place to stay for couples, families (young and old as the beach and swimming is as safe as it could be) and solo travellers.
Wound not hesitate in recommending.
