Platon Hotel Olimpic Beach Katerini very old hotel we stayed here for 8 nights 4 persons and it was regrettable. Starting with the room we had something as called double room with 2 bump beds and a double bed at the 3rd floor it felt like we was up in the atic as the room was small. After 3 days we changed it in 2 doubles finally because we complained to reception. The room service was descusting as they started to knock at the door at 8am oclock in the morning to clean the room when guests was still sleeping (No "NO DISTURB" lablel for the door provided ). We had to argue with room service to change the beds and provide fresh towels. We even found a live green beetle in the bed and when I went to speak with the manager he start to laugh and explain that before it was a swamp there. NO COMENT. Mosquitoes everywhere and a lot of bites on the body even if the balcony door was closed. The wall had a crack. Breakfast, included was poor and average nothing special, the food didn't had any labels. Dinner included also the food didn't had any labels and meat selections, had to argue with the manager as we don't eat pork and every evening had to remind the kitchen about this. Jacuzzi, spa, and swimming pool same as the gym was out of order another disappointing aspect to add unfortunatly. Service and Staff members were nice persons that try to satisfy our requests and comfort our needs including the Manager. The only good thing about this hotel is the position as it's literally next to the beach and the shops around are full of suvenires and greek culture. The food around has a nice and good variety and you can chose from different styles of dishes. The 3 ⭐ on booking.com is a overatad score. The pictures are misleading because the place needs a lot of maintanace. 1⭐ Max.

Terrible! It is a very old and poorly maintained hotel which gives you the feeling of an old communist era sanatorium - everything from the style to the state of the furniture. The bathroom was absolutely dingy, rust and holes, toilet was disgusting. The towel in the bathroom was probably pink around the 1960ies when it was manifactured. Food was in the same style as the hotel. Felt like a trip into a very bad era. Pictures that the hotel posts are misleading, half being obviously very touched with the help of a computer. The so called "pool" is in the lobby, right next to the entrance, it's 80 cm deep and could only be qualified as a physiotherapy pool... The only two good things about that place were the fact that it is dog-friendly and the staff, who were lovely and were obviously trying hard to make up for everything but given what they had to work with, they would need to be wizards to achieve it.

Before assigning us hotel rooms (it was an organized group) we went to dinner, of which only the main course was good. After the allocation of hotel places, it turned out that part of the group, for an unknown reason, would be transferred to the nearby hotel "Apollon I". In the "Platon Beach" hotel itself, the rooms were very cramped and quite... non-active. Strange translucent ceilings and 2 dead bugs found. The food could be better, but there are plenty of places to eat in the area.
