Casa Delfino Hotel & Spa

This hotel is wonderful. An oasis of calm after the bustle of Chania Venetian Harbour. We had a hotel transfer from the airport then a golf buggy up to the entrance along a narrow street. The staff were all so friendly and took personal interest in us. The breakfasts were full of chef made specialties all served in the central courtyard. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. The roof top terrace had wonderful views over the whole harbour. The hotel is centrally placed and within a few minutes walking to shops, restaurants and the harbour. We could not have been better treated and shall be returning.

We didn’t stay at the hotel, but enjoyed drinks at the roof top bar one evening. It’s a really special space, with great views across the harbour. There’s a great cocktail menu and the service is excellent, including arranging for a drink to be brought up from the restaurant downstairs. It’s tucked away just off the harbour, and it’s worth exploring the cobbled streets. There are steps up from the harbour, I’m not sure if there’s an accessible entrance from the other direction.

Casa Delfino was, without question, one of the highlights of our trip to Crete. We have stayed in many wonderful hotels over the years, but the level of hospitality and genuine care we experienced here was truly exceptional. Its location in the heart of Chania’s Old Town is ideal for exploring the harbor, shops, restaurants, and historic sites. What impressed us most was the incredible attention to detail. When they learned we had an early morning flight, they thoughtfully prepared a packed breakfast for us so we wouldn’t have to leave hungry before dawn. It was such a simple yet meaningful gesture that perfectly reflects the culture of hospitality at Casa Delfino. In an industry where great service is often promised but not always delivered, Casa Delfino sets the gold standard. The staff’s dedication, kindness, and commitment to creating unforgettable guest experiences are second to none.
