Galeana Beach Aparthotel

Unfortunately we had no relaxing holiday there. Cats in the room, if you had the patio door open... No mosquito repellent on the doors and windows... Old furniture with separate beds and much too hard mattresses (although I also prefer to sleep on a firm mattress), but nothing has been impressed here... The fact that the staircase for the upper apartment goes past the bedroom did not make it any better... Windows and shutters closed so you can't be touched by your feet..., welcome to the Darkroom... On request to change the room we had to complain about! Quote: "We don't do that in principle and everyone comes here with a different excuse" ! We really lacked the words! Since Tui was only able to help us to a limited extent, we were forced to take another hotel at our own expense, so that we could still spend a nice rest of our time on our favorite island Crete.

Cozy older hotel. A little worn but nice and clean. Friendly and welcoming staff. Breakfast was traditional however no hot dishes. No noise from the street or neighboring hotel. The hotel is very well located in relation to restaurants and shops. The beach is located in the extension of the pool/bar. Bus into Rethymnon cost 1.40€ . Departing right near the hotel. We have just been there for 14 days and have had it fantastic. Although the hotel is to 2/3 stars we would like to give it more.

We don't like large hotels, so we are very pleased with our choice of Galeana Beach Aparthotel. We felt great here. A wonderful location where you feel like in the countryside. Wonderful and honest service. You can't complain about breakfast because it's not a 5-star hotel. The only thing missing was a few slices of tomato. By the way. When we returned home, I realized that I had forgotten my wedding ring. The hotel sent it to me. If we return to Crete for a holiday, we will definitely not look for another hotel. For us it's 9+ out of 10. We highly recommend it
