It started off well with transfer drop off at the reception that is set a 100 yards from the hotel complex and then we were dropped off at our room 808 which is immediately next door to a day/night club with BOOMING music BUT we kind of got used to that. The beach was absolutely rammo but the consolation was that it was good for people watching so we got over that too.
The main dining area was tucked away in the middle of the main stay and the food was okay some days but very bland on other occassions. So we ate at the beach front restaurant mostly. The a la carte lunch time menu had burgers and pizzas and, on the whole, the food was good and plentiful with excellent service and great Rose wine. We ate above the restaurant on two nights but you had to pay for the lunchtime a la carte menu (which was odd) so we went along with the 5 course set menu. Given that we were "All Inc" it was also odd that they gave us a wine list and had to pay. No big deal as we had a lovely evening and the prices were not excessive. We decided to try it again but were a bit more savvy this time and asked if the Rose wine was All Inc (as we really liked it) and it was!! They should have told us that I think or maybe we should have asked? Anyway, the food was really awful. Particularly bad. Service was excellent I should say but we hardly ate a thing.
Our room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the box of tissues ran empty never to be refilled along with our shampoo and various other things. We thought we would try the room service for dinner on three occassions. On the first attempt they said they were too busy; second time they took the order but phoned back to cancel (too busy) and on the final time it never turned up so I went and got a plateful of food from the canteen.
Every night the aircon stopped working from 11pm until 1am and that was uncomfortable. We called housekeeping to try and fix it but were told there was a static problem (whatever that is?) and that it would come back on soon. It did eventually.
Finally, on departure we paid our bill and I asked if we were to be picked up at MacDonalds (we had been warned it could be one of two places) or from the reception. With twenty minutes before collection, the lady told us to take a seat as the coach driver calls her to let her know. With 5 minutes to go I asked if the coach driver had called and she said "not yet" so we took a seat again. we asked again ten minutes later and she told us that the coach had collected from MacDonalds!!! It was just ridiculous. I asked them if they would pay for our taxi to the airport and she then said it was our faut as we had not checked our TUI app. I said that firstly I was not aware that the TUI app had this information and secondly, in any event, she told us to "take a seat" as they as they were going to phone her. She said we would have to pay for our own taxi and get a receipt to make a claim against TUI. Fat chance of that happening.
So 70 euros later we made it to the airport and were homeward bound.
Despite all, we did manage to really enjoy ourselves and nothing was spoilt. We wont be going back but anyone going should just we aware of a few things flagged above.
P.S. We should mention the the SPA was excellent. DiDi and Vicki were FIVE STAR. Best massages we have ever had.

We spent 10 nights in a suite with sea view and direct beach location. The suite had a private terrace with daybeds and two other beachfront loungers. We were particularly enthusiastic about the Service: Via an app, we could have food and drinks delivered to our room or directly to the loungers at any time. The whole staff was always polite, attentive and very accommodating. The check-in went smoothly and quickly; we were taken directly to the suite with a golf cart. Especially pleasant: During our stay there was no disturbing child shouting.
The food at Elia beach restaurant was excellent. We ate exclusively there and were always looked after warmly, professionally and extremely friendly by the two waiters Ilias and Akis. High praise at this point – the two have made our stay even more enjoyable.
Limitations:
The main restaurant for us had more the charm of a canteen and did not meet our expectations of a 5-star hotel. Also, the entire facility did not look at the level we are otherwise used to from houses of this category. Fortunately, this was clearly outweighed by the excellent Service on the beach and at Elia Restaurant. There we could dine relaxed and in a pleasant atmosphere – without disturbing soundscape.
Our suite was adjacent to the neighboring beach club, whose music was a bit loud on some days. However, since it was in line with our musical taste, it was still acceptable to us.
Conclusion:
Despite minor compromises we enjoyed our stay very much and would love to come back anytime.

We had an exceptional experience with the wellness services at High Beach Melia Hotel. My wife and I were thoroughly satisfied with the excellent service provided. Pavlos and Viki delivered particularly pleasant and relaxing treatments, making our experience truly memorable. Additionally, Didi's professional approach in arranging a suitable time and space for our session was commendable. We highly recommend their services.
