chose Iro Hotel because of its location, which is close to the beach, restaurants and shops. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. The biggest disappointment was that although I booked Iro Hotel with All Inclusive, almost all the facilities are actually located in the neighbouring Sergios Hotel across the road. Every time you want breakfast, lunch, dinner, a coffee, a drink or to use the pool, you have to leave your building and walk across the street. The Iro Hotel building is basically just a place to sleep. This important information was not made clear when booking through travel companies such as Loveholidays or TUI. If it had been clearly explained that the all-inclusive facilities were in a different hotel, I would not have booked this accommodation. The rooms are very old and in poor condition for the price paid. The walls are roughly plastered and painted with whitewash, the furniture is outdated and the overall standard is far below what I expected for a holiday in Greece. The shower works, but only if you are patient enough to wait for decent water pressure. Don’t rely on the lift either – taking the stairs is often the better option. I complained during my stay and was offered a different room, but it was not a real improvement. The overall standard remained the same. For the amount of money I paid, I expected accommodation that met a reasonable European holiday standard. Instead, I felt misled by the way the hotel was advertised. My advice to future travellers is simple: read everything very carefully and be aware that the all-inclusive facilities are not actually in the Iro Hotel building. I hope the hotel and booking companies update their descriptions so that future guests know exactly what they are paying for. I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience.

The Iro hotel is next to Sergio’s hotel This is where the meals take place, the bar, etc. The welcome in these two establishments is really good; the staff is kind and attentive to their clients. The dining area requires no comments; it is a buffet where one eats well, with a varied selection, including several meats and fish, pasta, rice, or potatoes, different cooked vegetables, as well as plenty of raw vegetables, and a wide choice of desserts. Lunch also offers a wide selection, both sweet and savory. We truly appreciated this entire aspect. Our room was in the Iro hotel, a bit outdated and somewhat minimalist, but with everything fully functional. Quality bedding. We will especially remember the kindness and the truly good meals. We would do it again without hesitation; on a small budget, you will be satisfied.
