Knossos Beach

Very beautiful hotel. Large, too large for elderly people who have rooms far from the reception and restaurants. Very friendly and professional staff. Rooms are moderately clean, there is room for improvement. Hotel, always for the elderly, is isolated and it is necessary to use (at a cost) a taxi to reach the nearby village and taverns. To reach Heraklion, a taxi is always necessary (30/35 euros per trip). The beach is very beautiful and well-served. Too many stairs to reach the rooms. I don't know if I would recommend it. In any case, it is recommended for those who love airplanes and their sound during landing; for others, perhaps some slight issues.

We had a wonderful stay at Knossos Beach and would definitely recommend this hotel. The location is fantastic, just a short drive from the airport, with beautiful sea views and direct access to a lovely sandy beach. The hotel has a peaceful atmosphere, making it perfect for a relaxing holiday. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained throughout our stay. The food was varied and tasty, with plenty of choices every day. The all-inclusive service was very good, and the bars offered a nice selection of drinks and cocktails. One of the biggest highlights was that the hotel never felt overcrowded. There were always enough sunbeds available, and the whole resort had a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Overall, we had an excellent experience and would happily return to Knossos Beach in the future. This is the best all inclusive I've been to 1. We had an island view suit (150) and the room was phenomenal. Proper king size bed without the mattresses being zipped together so no falling in the middle. The patio furniture and sun chairs were lovely and the patio huge. The shower was big and overlooked the sea which was great. Air con was powerful and fridge was restocked each day as well as the coffee machine. House keeping were brilliant. 2. Sun loungers lots on the beach and by the pool we never had a problem finding one even if we went down at lunch. Noone was hogging them early either, some people got up and was swimming by 7am but noone leaving their towels and going for breakfast etc. 3. Food was good, was replenished frequently even if I can do not down for dinner at 9.30 or lunch late in the day. There was an element of their being the same pasta etc but the rest was varied, salt cod, lasagne, goat stew, beef, chicken etc. standard salads which were delicious. Puddings were the same you get at every all inclusive but they're tasty so that's what matters. 4. Lunch menu at the swell bar was brilliant, cooked to order, salad, burger, fish etc. you could either eat in, order to your lounger or take away and eat in your room which is what we did. 5. Swell restaurant and Si La you could eat at once as part of all inclusive. We didn't rate swell but the other one was delicious, probably the best meal I've ever had and the service was top notch making it feel very special. 6. Animals, lots of birds which was lovely, a few cats much less than other places in Greece but they didn't beg for food. There was also the most adorable dog in reception. 7. Bars, we tended to use the one by reception as it was less busy and had an amazing view but the one by the beach was also incredible. We only ventured into the pool bar on the last day and wish we had sooner as it had the best view. 8. 10 mins walk into Kokkini Hani and a 20 mins bus ride to Herkalion which cost 2.4 euro and bus stop was just outside the resort. 9. This place ever felt busy, the restaurant the tables are spaced apart, lots of choice of sun or shade but I would say 90% get the most incredible sea view 10. All inclusive drinks were good, I'm not a massive drinker so th few cocktails etc included was more than enough. 11. Transfer took 15 mins which was brilliant. We landed at 1.30 and was eating lunch by 2.20. I really recommend this place, it's way better than other places we've been that are scoring 4.8 etc
